To me, entrepreneurship means creating something you can share with the world and be proud of. So much work is put into creating something of your own and you deserve to be proud of what you've done no matter how big or small it is.

For those striving to create their own brand, my advice would be to never get discouraged. Always be open-minded to other people's suggestions and don't hesitate to reach out to others who could help you out. It's also important to do what you want to do. At the end of your day, it's your brand. It should be exactly the way you want it to be.

Cano Collective is a clothing brand based in Woodbury, Minnesota influenced by minimalistic and vintage streetwear. I've always been interested in design and clothes and after visiting a relative's screen printing shop in Seattle a few years ago, I knew I wanted to create something of my own.

A huge motivation for the brand was getting tired of not seeing anything I wanted to wear when shopping in stores or online. I wanted to create something I know I would wear myself and be able to share with everyone.

WHAT TIPS WOULD YOU HAVE FOR ANOTHER YOUNG PERSON WHO WANTS TO START THEIR OWN BRAND?

Fashion has always been something I've been into and I think a mission of the brand would be to create a culture everyone could share through something I'm passionate about. Like fashion, family is extremely valuable to me, and incorporating my family into my brand was something I wanted to do. I was able to do so using my mom's maiden name, Cano.
