I believe that quarantine has impacted me very positively! I loved it. It gave me so much time to grow and understand myself. It also helped me start taking music seriously, knowing what I want and how I can get there. Time is so important, so use it wisely.
CREATOR SPOTLIGHT: JOYCE CISSE
Joyce Cisse, also known as “Flowerovlove” is an upcoming singer/songwriter who also demonstrates creative expression in fashion and modeling. Being a young creative at the age of fifteen, Joyce uses her Instagram page as a platform to showcase her unique and trailblazing sense of style that highlights everything from oversized suits, to cheetah-print platforms. Joyce’s experiences in modeling have also recently brought her the opportunity of walking a show at Paris Fashion Week and making the cover of a Vogue article. In music, Joyce’s latest singles “Kiss & Chase” and “Unseen Miracles” consist of chill yet youthful melodies that encapsulate who she is as a creator.
My first traces of an interest in fashion were from when my older brother styled me, and I actually liked it! After that, I took inspiration from people on the streets, magazines, and Pinterest. I love clothes, the way it fits is so appealing to the eye.

I’d love to give you some advice. Stay true to yourself. Try new things. Be uncomfortable! Most of your frightening thoughts don’t actually reflect your reality. You are the main character. You were made to do everything in this world!! I’m sending happiness and success over to you.
A SPECIAL THANKS TO JOYCE AND SAHARA FOR MAKING THIS STORY HAPPEN!
Hi! I’m Joyce Cisse (Flowerovlove). I’m fifteen and was born–and still live in– London, continuously engaging with my Ivorian roots. I first discovered my passion for music around the age of six, jamming out to 1D & Justin Bieber on the computer. I remember having a blast, dancing around, thinking “I want to make music and make people feel the way I feel.” My music taste has definitely changed as I have grown and will continue to change. Now, I’m open-minded so I listen to all genres and extract inspiration from songs I like.
QUARANTINE
My biggest influences are my brother, Wilfred, and a band called Alvvays. I am influenced by my brother because of how motivated he is and how he always wants to elevate what he does. Alvvays also has an influence on me because of the way their music speaks to me in an aural and visual sense–projected through their music videos.
Some things that make me feel accomplished is honestly when people email/ text/tell me that my song has had an impact on their life. That makes me feel very complete. That is the aim, so I have succeeded in that element.
I am very proud of both songs I’ve released and the next one, ‘fat wave’, I’m over the sun for people to hear. It’s 200% a banger. I hope to have billions of people impacted by my music. The kinda music that “never gets old”.
Putting a song together can be difficult, especially if you don’t know where you want to go with the song. It’s helpful to have an aim or a story, even just having that vision. Paint that picture in your head and just draw it. My process usually takes a while as I am very picky. Writing can take a few weeks, however, I have the support and motivation from my brother. If something doesn’t fit or doesn’t work, we have this relationship where we’re straight up and he’ll help me figure it out.
