4. Q: WHAT’S YOUR CREATIVE PROCESS?

A: I don't really have a creative process, I just meet up with some friends and just take some pictures of them throughout the day. When pictures come out more naturally, those are the pictures I enjoy the most.

With the resurgence of film photography as a major player, many young photographers have also begun to expand into the analog world. One of the most notable young photographers within the space is Edsel Szn. In this short interview TCK talks with Edsel about his craft, journey, and advice for other young Photographers.

5. Q: TELL US WHAT YOUR ADVICE IS FOR OTHER PEOPLE LOOKING TO PURSUE PHOTOGRAPHY...

A: I started to discover my passion for photography when I saw how my work can be inspiring to so many people. Hearing people tell me they love my work and that I inspire them to go out and shoot film with their friends is probably the best feeling.

A: My name is Edsel, and I’m an 18-year-old film photographer based in Chicago. I'm a senior in high school right now and aiming towards doing photography as a full-time career. I started doing photography with just a couple of friends for the past 2 years and I've been doing it nonstop ever since.

2. Q: WHEN DID YOU DISCOVER YOUR PASSION FOR PHOTOGRAPHY

A: Some advice I would give to someone wanting to become a photographer is just doing it. Go out explore and try some new things. Photography should be fun and not about competing about who's getting the better pictures. Just never give up and trust the process, promise you it'll be worth it.

3. Q: WHAT INSPIRES YOU TO CREATE?

A: My friends and family for sure inspire me to keep going with this. They always give me the motivation and support I need, and I appreciate them for that.
