This week we caught up with artist Audrey-Ève Goulet to discuss her upcoming gallery show “Chapter 1”. If you’re in Montreal on the 21st of October this is an event you won’t want to miss, keep reading to learn more.

AEG: It’s my first solo exhibition, I’m really excited! I’ve decided to call this exhibition “Chapter 1” . I have been painting for a few years now and my style has evolved. Chapter 1 is, in a way, the narrative of my artistic evolution. For me, this exhibition is a road down memory lane, where I revisit some of my favourite artworks, but also what I have become, as I present many new pieces that I’ve never shown before. Also, because of the pandemic, it’s the first time that I’ll be able to meet some of my patrons face-to-face! I’m really looking forward to that.

AEG: The exhibition will be full of surprises since I wanted to do something a little different than a normal art exhibition. One exciting thing is that we will have a space dedicated for mapping : the multimedia artist Andy Martinez will include my painting in his projection. There’s also going to be a bar, where each drink is inspired by one of my paintings. Montreal DJs are also going to come perform live !
